At The Local 3561, food is at the heart of the experience.

Leading the kitchen is Michael, who will quickly become known as Mick to the locals. A renowned chef with German heritage, Mick brings years of experience from kitchens across Germany through to the Goulburn Valley, combining skill, passion and a genuine love of great food.

Mick is passionate about creating a menu that reflects the region, using local produce wherever possible and working closely with local suppliers, including collaboration with Tim Cottam from Cottam’s Family Butchers.

The menu will continue to evolve, with pub classics remaining a strong and familiar foundation, elevated with Mick’s influence and attention to detail. Alongside these favourites, you’ll find seasonal dishes and chef-inspired creations that bring something new to Rochester’s food scene.
